UNIT 1 - WHY DEI?

Unit 1 delves into the "Why" and the importance of DEI in a racially charged society. This unit explores systemic oppression in a historical and current context while providing practical ways to create a culture that is anti-racist and all inclusive. 

UNIT 3 - Enlightenment

  • New Knowledge - Bringing light to the dark age of negative perspectives

  • Toleration (Age of Enlightenment Idea)

  • Empathy

Through Unit 2's Discovery - UCM, participants are now enlighten and aware of their hidden and unknown biases including the mechanisms that causes micro-aggressive behaviors. Through participants new knowledge, this unit seeks to open up healthy dialogue and conversation on the importance of "Toleration" through empathetic activities. 

ASSESSMENT - ONGOING

  • Cultural appreciation for a day 

  • Diversity initiative events

 

Our DEI Training is ongoing. Therefore, in order to build a level of comfortability with various cultures, participants are given opportunities to interact with those from various cultures via fun and interactive diversity & inclusion events to extend practice and acceptance. Interactions will be monitored and assessments will be documented for recommendations and consultations for need based training. 

UNIT 2 - DISCOVERY-UCM

  • Unconscious Bias

  • Conscious Bias

  • Microaggressions 

 

Unit 2 seeks to discover one's hidden and known biases in addition to recognizing the causes of micro-aggressive behavior. Participants are taken through a course of interactive activities in the form of self-discovery in order to find positive solutions which intends to gradually change negative perspectives. 

UNIT 4 - Impact-Application

  • Attitude

  • Responses/Actions

  • Practice/Application

 

Building on Unit 1, 2, and 3, Unit 4 provides opportunities for participants to model, and practice appropriate responses and attitudes given realistic and relevant case studies in order to apply new knowledge acquired in Unit's 1 and 2 exercises.

UNIT 1 - WHY?

  • Importance of positive acts in professional spaces 

  • Not only for children!

 

Unit 1 delves into the the importance of positive acts and how little positive acts can increase the workplace culture or cultures in professional spaces

UNIT 3 - MANAGER OF MY FEELINGS 

  • THINK - ACT - FEEL 

  •  Managing my thoughts 

  • Managing my actions 

Participants explore how positive thoughts create an environment to act positive. Participants also explore how they are the manager of their actions

Unit 2 seeks to discover one's self-image and recognizing how our self-image can impact our behaviors in professional spaces. Participants are taken through a course of interactive activities in the form of self-discovery in order to find positive solutions which intends to gradually change negative perspectives about one-self. 

UNIT 4 - Impact-Application

  • Practice/Application

 

Building on Unit 1, 2, and 3, Unit 4 provides opportunities for participants to model, and practice appropriate "act positive" responses 

ACT POSITIVE TRAINING BREAKDOWN

4 Units  - 12 Sessions - 4 Sessions per unit

Session Length - 1 Hour
