Bamboo Inc. and YWCA of Central & North Florida share a common vision of empowering women, promoting diversity, and fostering social justice. Through our partnership, we aim to leverage our respective expertise, resources, and networks to create meaningful opportunities for women entrepreneurs and advance the cause of gender equality.

YWCA of Central & North Florida x BAMBOO is a unique collaboration that directly responds to the needs and experiences of marginalized women in Central & North Florida. Our overall goal is to organize and mobilize to accelerate change, address gender-based inequity, support low-income women of color, immigrant women, and any and all those identifying as female, who wish to improve their quality of life due to systemic barriers.

WE SEEK TO:

To organize thoughtful and impactful educational programs that make tangible changes in the lives of marginalized women, and youth economically, educationally, and socially.
Organize and transform policies, systems and power structures which negatively impact marginalized women experiences, and communities;
Identify hard hitting problems, brainstorm SMART solutions, and execute campaigns that are led by informed women;
Provide transformative education to develop impactful women leaders in their community.
Develop and strengthen the leadership skills of emerging leaders to effectively lead movements within their immediate communities.

Creating and facilitating trainings which specifically delve into the foundational causes of societal issues that negatively affect the community
Building, creating and proposing innovative solutions that are uniquely based and specific to the advancement of the population we serve

Building leadership trainings. workshops, and programming that build on the necessary skills needed

Providing opportunities to create and implement plans, and SMART goals that identifies the deep rooted issues, and strategically determine appropriate plans, solutions and best course of action
